Nothing quite captures the imagination or makes such a bold statement as Living Walls. The installation of a Living Wall will create a real talking point in almost any commercial or hospitality setting.

At Plant Plan we have been installing and maintaining Living Walls for many years – both inside and out.

As with any planting installation it will need maintenance ongoing and we can provide this, either as an add on after the wall is installed or as part of a rental & maintenance package (which is available on smaller walls).
Criteria

If your Living Wall is installed correctly and is located in the right position, it will thrive.

There is a number of criteria to consider though before going ahead with your Living Wall such as aspect, light levels, irrigation, drainage, feeding, maintenance etc.

Living Walls

Living walls are installed using specially-designed panels on a framework attached to the wall, and offer immediate visual impact. The system automatically delivers all the necessary water and nutrients to keep plants healthy. As with all our Live Planting options we offer a comprehensive maintenance service with regular visits to ensure the system is functioning correctly, the plants are flourishing and to replace any plants that are dead, dying or overgrown. Careful species selection means a bespoke living wall can cope with the unique aspect and climatic conditions in your building.

Benefits of replica walls

Regardless of size, Replica Walls bring texture, personality and an element of surprise to any environment.

When space is at a premium, Replica Walls offer an opportunity to harness the power of plants, while maximising floor area at the same time.

Living Walls include many plants and are therefore your own private health benefit factory. Purifying, cleaning, humidifying the air and absorbing sound like no other planting installation.

Replica Walls are a real talking point and will make your space stick in the memory and be the subject of conversation.

Living Walls, the options

Whilst it is always best to consider a Living Wall from the start of your build project it is also possible to install a Living Wall retrospectively.

For example, where a Living Wall is likely to be around or less than 10sqm, there is no need to install an irrigation system or worry about drainage.

We will arrange a maintenance contract with you and, as part of this contract, will ensure the Living Wall has all the water and nutrients it needs and care for the plants. If any plants die we will replace them free of charge.

If a wall is more than 12sqm then we will need to take a different route and this will involve irrigation, drainage etc.
