To create atmosphere and a nod to the Italian theme with a vibrant, visually strong planting scheme that would also complement the colour scheme and overall botanical feel of the restaurant. The client opted for replica planting to keep maintenance to a minimum.
Bocca Social
Set in the heart of Beckenham, Bocca Social is a modern Italian restaurant and cocktail bar. Both the restaurant’s branding and its interior have a strongly botanical feel that transports patrons to a sunny Italian terazza as soon as they step through the door.
The Brief
Scope of Project
This was a really fun project to work on because of the wide variety of plants and florals selected by the client, which created a really evocative interior. We installed replica trees including two cherry trees and two olive trees – the latter measuring 2.7 metres tall and created by our production team using a real olive trunk and branches combined with replica foliage.
We also added fairy lights onto these for added effect. We installed a replica flower wall using an array of pastel coloured flowers on a background of foliage, which provided the perfect foil for a neon sign. We worked closely with the contractors to ensure smooth installation of this feature. Phase two of this project involved the addition of almost eight metres of high-level ceiling baton featuring trailing Bourgainvillea, Wisteria and Ivy.
