Decorating your office with plants always adds that extra touch of beauty to an environment. They also present a range of benefits that range from filtering the air to improving your staff's mood! But we’re forgetting one of the most obvious benefits that is the wonderful smells that plants can give off. Below are 4 of our favourite most fragrant plants that are perfect to be utilised in an office to freshen up the place: Jasmine Jasminum polyanthum is the type of plant that prefers cooler temperatures, so if you don’t mind the cold - this is a brilliant plant. Otherwise known as the winter jasmine, this low-maintenance plant exudes a sweet scent that will make you think of floral gardens. This plant only requires 4-6 hours of indirect sunlight in a cool place. Geraniums There are over 200 varieties of this plant - many having incredible leaf shapes and textures. Some of the types that have beautiful aromas include: Chocolate Mint, Lemon Fancy, Peppermint Lace, Pink Champagne, and Prince of Orange. Orchids A classic choice is the orchid plant, and there are many to choose from! One of the easiest that is grown indoors is Oncidium. Make sure that you give your orchids plenty of light but away from direct sunlight as this will cause the flowers to spot. Gardenias The smell that comes from the white flowers of the gardenia are wonderful which is why it’s no wonder they are at the top of the most fragrant-houseplant lists. Unbeknownst to some, the fragrance comes from the leaves of the gardenia plant, rather than the flowers. Gardenias will need a bit of attention to keep them healthy and improve their longevity. They need daytime temperatures between 68 and 74 degrees, and 60 degrees at night time.
