Well, Lockdown 2.0 has hit, and some of us may be frantically hunting down the last few accessories to make the next period of lockdown slightly more bearable than the first. Forgive us for being presumptuous, but as you're here, we're guessing you need some advice on the best plants for your home office? Well, you've come to the right place...!
We've listed 5 plants below that will look great in a home working setting, as well as giving great visual benefits, ease of care, and air cleaning capabilities.
1. 'The Purifying One' aka 'Spathiphyllum or 'Peace Lily'
As its name suggests, the Peace Lily is a calming, beautiful plant that needs hardly any maintenance. The soil needs very little watering, and, apart from not being in direct sunlight, any well-lit room will do!
2. 'The Scary One' aka 'Sansevieria Laurentii or Mother in Law's tongue'
There are about 15 plants that NASA recommends as pollutant absorber plants, but Sansevieria is apparently to be the most ideal, as this plant is easy to grow, very hardy, has a long lifetime with excellent capacity to absorb many household toxic airborne pollutants and convert them to harmless substances
3. 'The spiny one' aka 'Cacti' or 'Cactaceae'
Bring out your wild side with this spiny desert lover. A miniature cactus on your desk will really show off your sense of adventure (and provide a useful weapon in which to ward off annoying interruptions). Seriously easy to care for, you can plant them in anything (try a baked bean can!), and they will still make a real statement.
Hopefully, this short guide has helped you to choose the best plants for your home office. We'd recommend getting more than one - plants like each other's company too!
